How a Pumpkin Growspumpkin.pdf   Elisa Orton 
  • Before the class did this individually, I made a larger set of the cards, and distributed them to a group and they sorted them.  and posted them on our whiteboard.  The class then worked individual to glue them independently on a strip of paper.  (I had precut and shuffled)

  • More for Halloween - follows the Brown Bear, Brown Bear Pattern.   I have no idea where this came from on the internet.  I googled, saved and used.

  • Did this activity with my class - we ended up adding a face and used crepe paper for the leaves.

  • I just took a pumpkin piece of clipart and added the lines.  I then printed them on orange cardstock and laminated and cut out.  I used Halloween Erasers I got from the dollar store and put this in the game centre.

Fieldtrip to Pumpkin patch at Brannen Lake Campground Many K teachers
  • Brannen Lake campground has a Pumpkin Hayride fieldtrip. Children enjoy ride on haywagon through field area, do a simple, theme craft and enjoy some hot chocolate. All of the children go home with a small pumpkin.

  • With pumpkins from fieldtrip above or some that are brought in: order by smallest to largest, weigh them, carve and count seeds, etc.
